What is an Avatar?

An Avatar refers to an image or character that represents an online user in social platforms and other apps. The images you choose as your avatar in Replypad, will appear throughout the app, representing you as the user that performed an action.

When does the app use the avatar?

Your Avatar image will be displayed whenever you post in a conversation and in other places throughout the application.

Set your avatar

  1. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner, and select Edit profile.
  2. Hover over the avatar image and click the Edit link that appears on the right.
  3. Options are:
    • Gravatar. By default, Replypad uses Gravatar (an app that holds an image that follows you from site to site) in the following way:
      • In case you have an image defined in Gravatar it will be used, based to your email address.
      • Otherwise you can choose to upload an image (see option below).
      • Or leave the default image generated automatically by Gravatar when no image is defined – which will show a random robot’s icon.
    • Uploaded image. If you do not have a Gravatar account, or if you prefer to have a different image defined in Replypad, you can upload an image directly to Replypad to be used as your avatar.
    • None. Do not show any image next to my name in Replypad.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You should now see your selected choice in your profile.
